All deposits are nonrefundable, but in the vanishingly rare event that I have to cancel I'll offer to send it back to you immediately.

If we begin over coffee or cocktails, bring your remaining cash balance in a good book or other creative container and present it immediately.

When meeting in private, present your gift promptly and with good humor. I’m not awkward about this facet of our relationship and you needn’t be either!
